OUR RENEGADES ARE THE DREAMERS, ADVENTURERS, MISFITS AND REBELS WHO, DISSATISFIED WITH WHAT THE GODAWFUL WORLD HAD TO OFFER, LEFT THE MONOTONY OF THEIR EVERYDAY LIVES TO FIND A BETTER WAY. A WAY WHERE EVERYONE WAS WELCOME AND WHERE NEW ADVENTURES (SOON TO BE STORIES SHARED OVER A BEER) WERE AROUND EVERY CORNER.

In their quest for more than what life was offering, they each journeyed through rainy roads, windy farms, slightly sunny (but mostly rainy) cities and misty moors. One by one they stumbled across the roguish Queensbury Jack, who bandied them all together and over many moons led them to the enchanted Forest of Yattendon where they are gathering like-minded adventure-seekers, just on the edge of our brewery.

A place where legend and myth bound, Yattendon Forest has given our runaway Renegades all the time and freedom they need to plan their mischievous escapades and make the Godawful World better. But they’re not the first ones to find themselves drawn to Yattendon…

The Good Old Boys – where it all started

In the 90s, before Queensbury Jack found himself drawn to the ancient, wild charms of Yattendon Forest, the Quaffer, in need of better beer, sold up all his wares and travelled in his Bedford van all the way to Yattendon where he discovered the fields of barley. Here he built his settlement and vowed to make beer for all time and for all-comers.

He was soon joined by Mr Chubbs, Marharaja and Maggs, and they named the Quaffer their Good Old Boy and they brewed and told stories by the campfire for decades – the original Renegades.

Then along came Queensbury Jack full of adventure and tales from the modern world…
