Renegade Recommends – Middlenamekill

Hailing from just down the road in Salisbury,
middlenamekillhefty four piece alternative rock band Middlenamekill are something of a buried treasure. Masters of riff and melody, they tread their own path, taking their time to carefully craft full albums, going against the modern malaise of bands who dribble out half baked musical ideas music at a consistent rate, making use of digital platforms to flood your ears with their sounds constantly and ensuring the market becomes more and more geared towards “singles” and moves further away from the art of producing a full album.

No, this is a band who, after an initial dapple with an EP back in 2009 decided full albums were definitely the right way forward and promptly (well, 2 years later) produced the goods with the excellent When Lions Fight Bears. Flash forward a further 4 years (yup, still not rushing) and they released the incredible Choose Your Own Adventure. Trust us, the wait has been well worth it! Keep an eye out for the first video release from this record (The Kintner Boy) for it promises to be a doozy.

In the meantime, enjoy the below promo for In The House Of A Witch, taken from When Lions Fight Bears.
